Turkey Spaghetti Recipe

I’m excited to introduce my all time favorite Turkey Spaghetti recipe. I personally love this more than the traditional ground beef, as Turkey is a  healthier alternative filled with rich protein and amino acid.  So let’s get started, shall we?

Ingredients:

Serving: 4

Directions:

Spaghetti

  1. Boil water in a large pot. To make sure pasta doesn’t stick together, use at least 4 quarts of water for every pound of noodles.
  2. Add tablespoon olive oil
  3. Salt the water with at least a tablespoon
  4. Boil the spaghetti for 7 to 15 minutes until al dente

Turkey Pasta Sauce

In a preheated pan, add olive oil, chopped onions, minced garlic, and sun-dried tomatoes until soften and brown – season with salt and pepper

Add sliced mushrooms, saute until soften and brown

Add splash of red wine and let it simmer until 80% liquid has evaporated

Once the red wine has evaporated, add tomato paste, and saute for a few seconds until the garlic, onions, mushrooms, and roasted tomatoes are fully coated with the paste.

Set aside the ingredients in a plate

Add olive oil and  ground turkey and saute until golden brown

Season the ground turkey with basil, oregano, thyme, chili flakes, brown sugar, salt, and pepper

Add 1 can of fire roasted tomatoes and sautee for about a minute

Add back the cooked garlic, onions, sun-dried tomatoes, and mushrooms that we had put aside

Add 2 jars of pasta sauce and let it simmer for 5 minutes

Seasoned with salt, pepper, and brown sugar to taste

Plate the spaghetti and top it off with the delicious freshly made turkey pasta sauce. Remember to finish it off with fresh basil and grated parmesan

Bon Appetit My Beautiful Friends
